Here ya go…

My prayers, mind, and heart are with the victims of the storm system of 300 miles of destruction in which over 130 tornadoes took lives, homes, businesses, and entire towns. This is one of the worst storm systems in the history of the United States of America.

Lord, be the refuge and strength for all the people involved.

My prayers are with a special person I know who reads this blog. Their family was involved in these storms. (I’m not putting names in an effort to uphold confidentiality for them and their family.)

Lord, comfort everyone involved. Wrap them in Your wings, place them in the cleft of the mountain and in a safe place. Hold them near. Guide them as they have to make decisions and be their way.

God bless everyone involved in these storms.

It’s an article by John MacArthur about how to do a solid Bible study on your own. Check it out.

That is when it is even more important to get in the Word and retreat with God and Him alone.

- Stacy

Whenever things seem out of whack, off-track, and haywire, it is critical to lean on the Lord. What does that look like in your life?

Whenever I feel ‘off’, I know it is critical for me to have a spiritual retreat of at least a couple of days, if not a week. The week retreat is best. But, some is better than none.

Just a few thoughts…

- Stacy Duplease

I have been swamped. My wheels have been spinning and I am going nowhere. Everything seems broken: – Cell phone
- Computer
- Furnace

The latest is my computer. I can’t use it at all. I am on my somewhat broken cell–pecking away this blog post as an email.

Ugh.

My writing is all over the map… All over the place…

My spiritual life is whacky at best at the moment.

Overall, life is great. Really. It’s just haywire.

So, how do you re-focus and re-center yourself and get back on the right path?

- Stacy

Do you ever feel like you are spinning your wheels and like nothing is going right? Or, that more is going haywire than right or wrong? What do you do when that happens?

STACY

I love how God surprises you when you least expect it.

He just did this for me—and on Valentine’s.

Last week, I struggled with a few things. Busyness drove me crazy and I felt busy for not turning to God and His Word as much or as often as I should. That was as of Thursday. Then, things got worse. They got a great deal worse actually. Needless to say, I come to this blog post heavy, busy-laden, and heavy-hearted. It has only magnified why I am writing a series of blog posts about living a life of tenacious faith.

I want to learn how to have an unmovable and unshakable faith—no matter what. In other words, I want a strong, bold, enduring, persevering, and tenacious faith. This is my goal. I want to learn how to live the best life possible.

So, what is faith to begin with and what does it mean to me? Faith is belief. It’s believing in God no matter what. Faith is trusting God and His Word.

Blessings,

A tenacious faith is one that stands—no matter what. It doesn’t allow people or events to detract from believing in Jesus Christ and in the Word of God.

Our faith speaks to our personal relationship with God.

It’s about our trust in the Lord, and in His Word.

Blessings,
